ELLIE_I

ARTISTS STATEMENT
In the past, I have done a series of nude self-portraiture using a Bluetooth shutter button as I was creating landscape images to explain my connection to growing up in the country and it being my place of safety. I was very interested in the ISM idea, while people are more accepting of nudity than in the past, there is still a massive stigma around expressing and showing yourself nude. I feel more comfortable in myself after this experience as it has reminded me of how human I am and allowed me to see all the ways my skin folds and stretches. This has also reminded me that whoever sees my body, in a more intimate way, is lucky because I'm damn gorgeous.
